ESL Course Description:
The goal of the Adult ESL courses is to help students expand their fluency by focusing on essential grammar and stimulating learning, speaking, reading, and writing activities that emphasize the language needed for real world communication. The ESL classes focus on the four links to fluency: course content with universal topics, dynamic vocabulary, essential grammar, and confident communication.
Saturday Museum Classes:
In this course, students will participate in an interactive, themed museum tour facilitated by an ESL instructor. By way of reading, listening, and writing, students will react to museums’ artifacts and exhibits. This exposure will expand students’ vocabulary, cultural sensitivity, and inspiration for visiting museums. Each museum visit lasts five hours.
This course, which is very popular among international exchange students and au-pairs, is open to anyone who is interested. Students can attend as many or as few visits as they like.
Each ESL Session: 7.5 weeks (weekdays) or 10 weeks (Saturdays), 30 hours total.
Cost: $230 (tuition) + $20 one time application fee (textbook not included). Saturday Museum classes of 5 hours earn a half credit and cost $40 per class.
New students must take ESL placement test before enrolling.
